Question #1: What do I do if I have an emergency?
Answer: Because we operate just like a doctor's office in your own home - with office hours Mon. - through - Fri. between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm - we cannot provide emergency services. If you believe that you have an emergency situation, it is important that you contact 911 immediately.
Question #2: What insurance does Mark A Pinto MD Inc accept?
Answer: Our practice accepts traditional Medicare Part B with or without a supplement. We do not except Medicare HMOs.
Question #3: When is the doctor available?
Answer: Our practice makes non-emergent routine medical visits Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Question #4: Do house calls cost more than regular office visits?
Answer: Mark A Pinto MD Inc charges only what is allowed by Medicare. There is no additional trip charges or hidden costs. You will still need to pay the applicable co-pay and deductible amounts that you might have under your existing insurance plans.
Question #5: What do I do if I need labs, X-rays or other diagnostic tests?
Answer: Most diagnostic tests can be performed in the comfort of your own home. If a larger scale test or procedure is necessary, the doctor's staff will make arrangements at a local hospital or diagnostic center.
Question #6: What hospitals am I allowed to select?
Answer: You are not required to go to any specific hospital. Mark A Pinto MD Inc utilizes the hospitalist teams at all the local hospitals.
Question #7: Who takes care of me while I am in the hospital?
Answer: Mark A Pinto MD Inc will refer your care to the hospitalist team if you are admitted to the hospital. The hospitalist team and Mark A Pinto MD Inc will communicate while you are admitted and Mark A Pinto MD Inc will resume your care once you are discharged from the hospital.
